Maggie Grace and Maggie Gyllenhaal

Maggie Grace is an American actor who was born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her best-known roles include Shannon Rutherford, a character in ABC's Lost series, and Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. After her parents' divorce, she left Worthington, Ohio to live with her family in Los Angeles. While struggling financially she landed her first part as the title character in the video on-demand series Rachel's Room in 2001. The actress was able to secure a Young Artist Award nomination in 2002 with her portrayal of the 15 year old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television film Murder which aired in Greenwich. Grace Rutherford's character in Lost between 2004 and 2005, was selected for a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace was dropped from the series in the year 2005, to take on an even more prominent role in films, having appeared alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in Taken. Grace has been on Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and in 2007 and in Taken opposite Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. She reprised this role in Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland which is an updated adaptation of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace was back on the Lost series in the final two episodes playing Shannon. Grace was a part of the show's sixth season that aired between 2013 and the year 2014. She plays Faith an actress who acts as a muse to the stars and catches the attention from Hank Moody (David Duchovny). She's a Gyllenhaal, the child of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), and is older in age than Jake Gyllenhaal. Her acting career started as a young teenager when she appeared in small roles in several films by her father. She also worked with her brother in the 2001 popular movie Donnie Darko. She also was featured as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. Also, she appeared on Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was praised by critics for her performance in the erotic romance comedy drama Secretary (2002) as well as the thriller Sherrybaby (2006) both of which brought her a Golden Globe Award nomination. Following a string of commercially successful movies in 2006, including World Trade Center she received more attention for her role as Rachel Dawes in the superhero film The Dark Knight (2008). The year 2009 was the time she was nominated as the Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards for her portrayal of a single mother on screen in Crazy Heart. Then, she went on to play in comedies and dramas like Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011), and Will Not Back Down (12). Alongside her work as a Secret Service agent, she was also seen in White House Down (2013) and Frank (2014). Her most recent roles include the protagonist in The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal composed and directed her first feature film, The Lost Daughter in 2021. The psychological drama won Best Screenplay Award from the Venice International Film Festival. It was also nominated to the Academy Award of Best Adapted Screenplay.
